What is mindset coaching?

Simply stated mindset coaching is a form of coaching that helps an individual identify blocking behaviors that stop them from being the elite version of themselves. It helps people recognize and overcome these mental blocks and achieve their goals.

As expected, people are raised with different values and mindsets, but those learned/taught behaviors, habits and, assumptions may just be holding them back from accomplishing their dreams.

What is business coaching?

In a nutshell, a business coach is typically an experienced entrepreneur and/or business owner who decided to use their talents, trials and errors and knowledge for building and growing a business to help other business owners reach their goals.

Yes there’s plenty of information and advice available online on how to start and grow a business, however, it's generic and not tailored to your unique business model. Business coaches are able to provide valuable, personalized, custom advice.

Business coaches are generally expert entrepreneurs who know exactly what it takes to start and grow a successfule business.

What can I expect?

In order to be effective, your business coach will need to know as much as possible about your business. Once your business coach has learned everything that they can about your products, offerings services and systems, they’ll want to learn more about your vision for your company and the goals that you have for it.

Your business coach will then work with you to set beneficial and attainable goals for your business designed to efficiently grow and achieve the vision you lay out together.

Once a set of goals are in place, your business coach is there to hold you accountable by setting business strategies and action plans designed to push your business to meet its goals and helping you navigate any challenges that come up along the way.

My Passion

I'm often asked how did I get here? What led me to have the desire to lead you? To be honest, it took me some time to find my purpose. I knew that I was good at business development. I also knew that I was innovative and that I held unique skillsets. I also was afraid of my own strength. While I enjoyed entrepreneurship, I always felt the need to hold on to the security of a full-time job. You know just incase things went south.

What I quickly realized is that no matter how good I was at my job, the fact remained that I was dispensible. I found that out the hard way after having my son in 2012. My son was born with a rare medical condition. As any mother would, I made his care my priority. No regrets about it. But employers quickly became bothered by the new requirements of my life/work balance.

Eventually I also became bothered, by being put in a position time and time again to choose between remaining employed and caring for my son. I knew that something had to change. I just had to figure out how to change not only my circumstances, but my mindset around employment and entrepreneurship. It took me a little time, some bumps, bruises and failures but I figured it out. Once I arrived at that point, I felt unstoppable. The rest is success history! My purpose became helping women like me monetize their passions!

The Investment

Once I made up my mind to take on entrepreneurship full-time, I knew that it would take some sacrificing on my part. I had to become disciplined. I had to do things that I hadn't done before; and guess what...it was scary! While working full-time I had 2 side hustles, a boutique and business development agency. Initially, I decided to go full steam ahead with the boutique because well, what woman doesn't love fashion? I hastily opened a new store front.

I truly didn't properly plan it out because this wasn't my first storefront. But it was my first storefront inside of a mall. It quickly drained me. The long mall hours were more than I was used to because I previously did brick and mortars where I could set my own hours. So to gain back my freedom, I hired more employees. Guess what, they drained me too. LOL I learned alot from that experience. I did something that I'd never done before, but the knowledge that I gained became valuable. The mall store picked up steam, our marketing was going great and then COVID struck! Now only my online store is operating, but people aren't shopping for clothes as much because we're quarantined. Now what?

A light bulb came on. My business development agency became my new goldmine. More businesses were started during the pandemic than I can count. And guess what they needed, business development and admin services!

From there I noticed that a lot of start-ups had no idea how to start up and I foudn myself coaching business owners on how to properly structure their businesses. And I LOVED it! I decided to invest in more training, courses and coaching to effectively support my found audience. And I did just that! I spent the next several months engrossed in my own growth and learning. I became so passionate about it that I did the work and became certified in Entrepreneurship and Business, as well as Mindset Coaching. I look forward to serving you as your new business coach.
